Spanish Teacher (Part-Time, benefits eligible)
Montessori School Of Waukesha is seeking a Spanish teacher for our 4th through 8th grade program.
This may be a just-right opportunity for a retired Spanish teacher, a recent Spanish education graduate, a world languages instructor, a Spanish speaking general educator wishing to focus on teaching Spanish, or someone who is currently a Spanish instructor/adjunct at a local college or university. We want to hear from you!
MSOW is the first school in Wisconsin accredited by the American Montessori Society and will serve about 380 students from toddler level through middle school in the 2026-27 school year.
The 18-hour Spanish teaching position includes:
- 10 hours of instruction
- 4 hours of preparation time
- 4 hours of additional program support
The instructional schedule is:
- Middle School: Monday through Wednesday, 9:00–11:00 a.m.
- Upper Elementary: Monday and Wednesday, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Additional program support includes coordinating Friday afternoon World Languages lessons for Children’s House kindergarten students. The Spanish teacher will help recruit and coordinate volunteers who can share languages, traditions, and cultures from around the world with students.
A comprehensive Spanish curriculum is provided. The preparation time allocated to this position reflects the high-quality instruction expected at both the Upper Elementary and Middle School levels.
The Spanish teacher is also encouraged, though not required, to offer an After-School Enrichment class from 3:30–4:30 p.m. once per week during any of our four six-week enrichment sessions. Enrichment instructors are compensated separately at $75 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred but not required. Experience as a Spanish teacher and a license to teach Spanish in Wisconsin preferred but not required.
